Introducing the P4P Team: Meet Nicole!

Introducing Nicole Adler, Tour Manager for BAP’S Pedal for Purpose summer cycling trip. Nicole spent the spring planning the logistics of the cycling route and helping secure supportive partners for the trip, and she’s ready to see her planning come to life.

What is your favorite thing about your hometown?

Living in Stamford has been perfect for me because I live close to downtown, which has all the benefits that a city provides, but I still live in an area surrounded by nature and very close to the water. Best of both worlds.

Where is the farthest you’ve traveled from home?

I went term abroad to Beijing, China in 2010. I love to travel, so between this summer and my upcoming semester abroad in Denmark, I have a lot of adventures in front of me this year!

Why are you coming on this summer trip?

I’ve been interning with BAP this year and have become very passionate about the cause. I really feel strongly about supporting the organization and it’s a huge plus that we get to go on such a great adventure while doing so!

What nonessential object will you absolutely bring with you on the road?

My guitar if I can manage to bring it on the plane! I used to play, but I’ve never really had the time to put in the practice so I’ve become very rusty. I hope to improve while on the road this summer.

What will you miss most on the trip?

My family (and my dog, Cody).

Besides BAP events, what are you most looking forward to in each new place?

I can’t wait to see the parts of the country that I’ve never been to! We have so many ideas of what to do in any free time that we have, and I’m excited to go on some good hikes, find great sites, and meet interesting people.
