Introducing the P4P Team: Meet Kate!

Introducing Kate Rolfes, Events & Partnership Coordinator for BAP’s Pedal for Purpose summer cycling trip. Kate has spent the spring reaching out to community leaders from coast to coast to plan presentations and parties. We’re so excited to have her on board!
We chatted with her about her upcoming adventure, and this is what she had to say:
What is your favorite thing about your hometown?
My driving route around town that goes all the way from downtown Cincinnati to Loveland (about 20 miles). The route includes several of my favorite parks, the Cincinnati Art Museum and a record shop. It makes for a relaxing drive that captures the essence of the city.
Where is the farthest you’ve traveled from home?
San Francisco.
Why are you coming on this summer trip?
Not only is the trip a great adventure, but through my internship with BAP, I’ve been able to gain job experience while also helping with a cause I am truly passionate about. The trip will allow me to see the results of all my work this spring.
What nonessential object will you absolutely bring with you on the road?
Sketching supplies!
What will you miss most on the trip?
Although friends and family is a generic answer, it’s true- I shall miss them all!
Besides BAP events, what are you most looking forward to in each new place?
Finding funny post cards to send to friends/family, of course! Also, just discovering the quirks of each new place and seeing why the people there love their town.
